Unusual 1960s Backless Pink & Gold Metallic Brocade Dress Online

Description
This stunning gown has no labels but feels like a label piece in its construction. It is definitely a higher end piece and a beautiful from this time period. It is made from a fabulous pink brocade that has a gold thread worked through the pattern that runs top to bottom. This allows the dress to have a subtle sheen and the combination of the pink and gold is mesmerizing. The bodice is very unusual – it is a high cut squared off panel with high cut corners that sit off the sides a touch. Two wide straps are set under this and curve around and down the back. The back is otherwise left completely bare. I love that even though the front is so squared off the sides curve around the body to meet at the low back. This keeps it feeling very feminine. The skirt is cut to curve around the hips and then widens out on a gentle curve to just above the floor. This one has a deep 8 hem inside so you could easily make it as long as you preferred. Excellent condition
The dress is fully lined in a matching pink silky rayon and closes with a low back painted metal zipper. Each strap buttons under the seam of the waist and has two holes to choose from so you can get the perfect fit. It has a deep 8 hem so could easily be made longer if needed. Ribbon edge finises and hand finished.
